LPG Insurance Details
- This is a Public Liability Policy for Oil Industries. Oil companies don't take this policy on each customer name.
- The customer has not to pay Premium for this accidental insurance policy.
- Oil Company will pay the Claim amount to the consumer directly.
LPG Insurance Scope of Coverage
The following things are covered in Insurance:
- Personal accident cover of Rs 5,00,000/- per person in case of death.
- Rs. 15 lakh per event Medical Expense with a maximum Rs. 1 Lakh per person.
- In case of property damage, it covers a maximum of Rs 2,00,000/- customer’s registered premises.
Procedure for Insurance
Here is the procedure that the customer has to follow:
- In case of an accident, concerned Area Office investigates the cause of the accident and if the accident is LPG accident, the local office of the Insurance Company is notified by the concerned distributor.
- The Customer need not apply to Insurance Company.
- A customer has to submit original the originals of Death Certificate or any other reports.
- In case of property damage, the Insurance Co. appoints their Surveyor to assess the loss.
- Claims are settled based upon the merit of each case
