KALIA Yojana is a new farmer scheme Odisha state. The KALIA Scheme terms as Krushak assistance for livelihood and income argumentation. Through this scheme, the government of Odisha targets the small farmers, cultivators as well as landless laborers which involve payment to encourage all the cultivation and associated activities. KALIA scheme support farmers farming on a small scale, sharecropping, fishing, animal herding, which are not under bank loans. But are under in debt traps of local moneylenders.

KALIA Scheme Odisha Benefits
Through Odisha Kalia Yojana, the following are the benefit of scheme:
Assistance for cultivation
Govt. provides Rs 25000 per farmer family for the five seasons. So, farmers can buy seeds, fertilizers, insecticide, etc. This scheme has implemented during the Rabi season in the year 2018-19.
Assistance for Livelihood
The farmer who is landless gets Rs 12000. This amount is for agriculture activities like fishery kits for fishermen, mushroom cultivation, mini layer unit, etc. SC/ST also gets benefits in this scheme.
Assistance for Vulnerable Agriculture Household
The landless agricultural laborers get financial support of Rs 10000 per family every year so, they can take care of their sustenance. Old age people or persons having some diseases or disabilities are comes under vulnerable cultivators.
Life insurance for Cultivators and Landless Laborers
Different life insurance with a very nominal premium provides to all the cultivators and the landless laborers.
Interest Free Crop Loan
The gram Panchayat identifies all the Cultivators or agriculture families. They get the crop load up to Rs 500000 which is on 0% interest. It means that for crop loans you don't need to pay any interest, these things are included in the scheme for the development and growth of agriculture.

Who is eligible to get benefit under KALIA Scheme?
Small and marginal farmers, landless Agricultural household, vulnerable Agricultural household, landless Agricultural labourers, and sharecroppers (Actual cultivators) all growth are eligible under different components of the scheme. A total of 50 lakh families cover under the scheme. A small farmer is a cultivator who owns 1 hectare (2.5 acres) to 2 hectares (5 acres) of Agricultural land. A marginal farmer is a farmer who owns less than 1 hectare of Agricultural land.
Cultivators
All farmers get Rs 10,000 per family as assistance for cultivation. Each family gets Rs 5,000 separately in the Kharif and Rabi, seasons, for five cropping seasons.
Landless Agricultural Households
Financial Assistance of Rs.12500 provides to each landless Agricultural Household for Agricultural allied activities like for small goat rearing unit, mini-layer unit, duckery units, etc.
Elderly Farmers
The elderly, sick, and differently-abled farmers who are unable to take up cultivation, get Rs 10,000 per household per year.
Benefit for landless agricultural household
Financial Assistance of Rs.12500/- provides to each landless Agricultural Household for Agricultural allied activities like for small goat rearing unit, mini-layer unit, duckery units, fishery kits for fisherman, mushroom cultivation and bee-keeping, etc. This will particularly benefit to SC & ST population of our State.
Eligibility to get the benefits under Odisha KALIA Scheme
- Small and Marginal Farmers are eligible to get benefits under support to cultivators for cultivation.
- Landless agricultural households are eligible to get livelihood support under the scheme.
- Vulnerable agricultural households covering vulnerable cultivators/ landless agricultural labourers are eligible to get financial assistance under the KALIA scheme.
Life Insurance Support to cultivators and Landless agricultural laborers as well as the interest-free crop loan component are under the KALIA scheme.
