Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana will be implemented during 2015-2022 and will provide central assistance to Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) and other implementing agencies through States/UTs for:
1. In-situ Rehabilitation of existing slum dwellers using land as a resource through private participation
2. Credit Linked Subsidy
3. Affordable Housing in Partnership
4. Subsidy for Beneficiary-led individual house construction/enhancement.
Credit linked subsidy component will be implemented as a Central Sector Scheme while other three components will be implemented as Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS).

How to Apply for PMAY Online:

  1. Log on to the Official Website of PMAY pmaymis.gov.in
  2.  Choose the ‘Citizen Assessment’ option and click on the applicable choice: “For Slum Dwellers” or “Benefits under other 3 components”.
  3. Now enter your Aadhaar card details
  4. it will take you to application page there you have fill your details like name, contact number, other personal details, bank account and income details etc.
  5. when you fill all details now enter Captcha Code and Click on Save .

How to Check PMAY Application Status?

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana application form has been accepted. Those who have applied for this yojana now can check the status of the form and take a printout of the application. here is how u can take printout and check status:

  •  Log in into official website of  Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, then click on  “Citizen Application” Menu after that select the Check Status button.
  • It will show you  two options: “By name, father’s name or ID type” and “By application number”.
  •  Select the “By application number“.
  • After filling information click on “show” button
  • It will show you status of your application.

  • Aadhaar details 
  • PAN card,  Voter ID, Driving License
  • If applicant is from minority community then proof that same is needed.
  • Resident Certificate.
  • (EWS) Economically Weaker Section certificate or Low Income Group certificateSalary slips
  • Property valuation certificate
  • Proof that the applicant is constructing a home under the scheme
  • Bank details and account statements
  • IT return statements
  • Proof that the applicant does not own a ‘pucca’ house
