Mukhyamantri Kirayedar Bijli Meter Yojana is a new scheme of Delhi Govt. Till date, the only landlord of Delhi can get 200 Unit Electricity subsidy. There are lots of tenants or Kirayedar in Delhi. So, they were not able to get this Electricity subsidy. Delhi Govt has started this scheme to provide subsidy to those tenants. Right now Delhi is the cheapest electricity state in India. Mukhyamantri Kirayedar Bijli Meter Yojana

Under this Scheme, a tenant or Kirayedar can get his or her own meter from BSES or Tata power. This connection is a prepaid connection. The Tenant or Kirayedar also get free 200 unit in this scheme. Right now, one building has many Tenants and they are not getting benefits of 200 Electricity Unit Subsidy. As a result, they are paying Rs 8 to 10 per unit in electricity bills.

Mukhyamantri Kirayedar Bijli Meter Yojana Eligibility

To get Delhi prepaid electricity meter, you have to fulfill the following conditions:

  • Only Delhi Tenants can apply for this scheme.
  • Tenants must have a rent agreement with the Owner of the building.
  • No Objection Certificates from landlords.
  • Tenants Identity proof.

This cost of installation is Rs 6000/- and Rs. 3000 security deposit for new prepaid electricity connection. To apply for a new connection, you can dial the following numbers:

19122 - BSES Yamuna or 19123 - BSES Rajdhani or 19124 - Tata Power
