UP Govt has launched a new Online portal for Marriage Registration Certificate. This portal will help the newly wedded couple to register their marriage online in UP. Marriage Certificate is a must after Marriage Act, 2008. This certificate will use in many purposes like passport, changing the maiden name, etc. This Certificate is legal proof of marriage in UP.

Eligibility Criteria for Marriage Registration Certificate
You have to fulfill following conditions to get marriage certificate:
- Bride age of more than 18 years.
- Groom age of more than 21 years.
- bride and groom must have lived for at least one month in the district where marriage is to be registered.
Document Required for Marriage Registration Certificate
The Following documents are required to submit while applying for certificate:
- Marriage Proof.
- Date of Birth Certificate of Bride and Groom.
- Residence proof of Bride and Groom.
- Marriage Invitation Card.
- The Marriage photo of Groom and Bride.
Marriage Registration Certificate Fee
The following fee has to pay for certificate:
- The application submits within 90 days from the Date of Marriage: Rs. 150/-.
- An application submits after 90 days but before 1 year from Date of Marriage: Rs. 350/-.
- The Application submits after year: Rs. 300/-.
UP Marriage Registration Certificate Online Apply
To apply online for UP Marriage Registration, Please follow the procedure mention below:
- First of all, you have to visit the official website of igrsup: igrsup.gov.in.
- Now on the left-hand side, you will see a menu of "विवाह पंजीकरण".
- Click on "आवेदन करें".
- It will take you to the next page.
- Now, Select "I give my consent".
- Again Select "Yes" for mobile linked with Aadhaar Card.
- Now, Click on "आवेदन विवाह पंजीकरण" button.
- It will take you the next page.
- Enter all Details mentioned in Form.
- Click on Submit.
- Now, you have to make an online payment for the application.
- Now you have successfully applied for Marriage Certificate.
UP Marriage Registration Certificate Online Verify
You can also verify the Marriage Registration Certificate online. Here are the steps to verify the certificate:
- First of all, you have to visit the official website of igrsup: igrsup.gov.in.
- Now on the left-hand side, you will see a menu of "आधार आधारित विवाह पंजीकरण सत्यापन".
- It will take you to the next page.
- Enter Certificate Number or Application Number, Date of Marriage, and Captcha Code.
- Click on Search.
- It will show you the Details of your Marriage Certificate.
